More friendly Florida birds

It may sound a bit boring but there is no comparison between birding in Florid and the UK the wildlife like the people is much friendlier than ours and more approachable., so consequently not a fight to get an half decent photo. Anyway enough of the rabbiting, lets get on with the pics.
Still from the Flamingo area and we found this little beauty---------

Red-bellied Woodpecker

Red-bellied Woodpecker, may have been young in the nest hole  , (a friend of mine knows a song about a woodpeckers hole)
and carrying on.

Osprey with a rather large fish

And close by this Black Skimmer

Then back tracking up the highway called in on one of the ponds to find American Coot, and a few other goodies which we will keep for next time :-)

Hope you enjoyed, thank you for looking in.

  1. Great shots of a few of our "typical" Florida birds. I'm glad they're cooperating for you!
