California Dreaming
So as part of our three state tour , we drove down the Pacific Coast Highway , what a fantastic drive and scenery. we stopped off for a night at Monterey , and two nights in Santa Barbara, we also did some sightseeing in Malibu and Santa Monica, before spending our last 4 nights in LA.
So pretty much most of my birding (with a little sufferance from my Daughter) was done on the coast. I hope I have id them ok if not please let me know.

So interesting that you saw Skimmers. We're from Oregon originally and have spent lots of time all up and down the Pacific Coast and yet I never saw a Skimmer until we started coming to Florida for the Winter. Beautiful pictures. I'm so happy you got to take the trip.

love the look of Black skimmers but I have never seen any myself. A cool looking bird.
