Hello, wonderful series on the Willet. I love seeing the shorebirds. Great post. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend! Maybe the last one is the Greater or Lesser Yellowlegs. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Gordon. I think it is a Wandering Tattler?

Pill,Eileeninmud thanks for your input, much appreciated, reserch is ongoing.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Gordon.
I would say it's a greater yellowlegs. It depends on the size, in your photo it looks quite large, making it the 'greater' instead of lesser yellowlegs. In non-breeding plumage.
ReplyDeleteExcellent photos of the willet too Gordon. Thanks for linking up this week at I'd Rather B Birdin'.
Thanks Anni, I know its hard to judge from a photo , but it was certainly as big as a Willet.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, Gordon.
I agree, that´s a star :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your Comment, much appreciated.
DeleteGordon.
My first thought went to Tattler - but such things confuse me in Australia, let alone the US!

Thanks for that Stewart, like I've said before its hard to judge frome someone photo, but the bird was bigger than a Tattler,
