Distant shot of , (left to right) Redshank, Little Egret and Greenshank. |
Greeted by frost again this morning, so for a change no rain and a clear blue sky, so decided on a run down to Leighton Moss. I would have liked to have set off earlier than I did but the Westies had to have their walk before I left, anyway it was about 9am by the time I arrived and the place was already quite busy
Looking over to the Eric Morecambe hide from the Allen hide, also the Allen pool and the Morecambe Bay marshes beyond. |
This is the brand new Eric Morecambe hide, and the Allen hide has been renewed as well. |
The next 5 shots are of a Redshank feeding. |
The sun was great but not in the best position as regards taking pics of the waders, as it was tending to put them in semi shade. |
Every wader was in feeding mode, above and below Little Egret. |
And a made dash to catch the next morsel. |
And I'll finish off this first batch with a few Grey Heron shots. |
Its reflection has a hole in the neck. |
