A few waders

Distant shot of , (left to right) Redshank, Little Egret and Greenshank.

Greeted by frost again this morning, so for a change no rain and a clear blue sky, so decided on a run down to Leighton Moss. I would have liked to have set off earlier than I did but the Westies had to have their walk before I left, anyway it was about 9am by the time I arrived and the place was already quite busy

Looking over to the Eric Morecambe hide from the Allen hide, also the Allen pool and the Morecambe Bay marshes beyond.

This is the brand new Eric Morecambe hide, and the Allen hide has been renewed as well.

The next 5 shots are of a Redshank feeding.

The sun was great but not in the best position as regards taking pics of the waders, as it was tending to put them in semi shade.

Every wader was in feeding mode, above and below Little Egret.

And a made dash to catch the next morsel.
And I'll finish off this first batch with a few Grey Heron shots.

Its reflection has a hole in the neck.
More to come in the next post.
