They have placed quite a few rail baskets around the town. |
Just to the North side of the centre is this little community garden, a nice relaxing area which catches the sun (when out) for most of the day. |
Near the entrance to the garden these banners have been placed, and each design on them has been done by children from various organisations. |

Your pics certainly show Penrith in a very favourable light! I love the banners designed by the children.

ReplyDeleteLovely town! I really like the banners that draw you in to the gardens.
ReplyDeleteHello!:) I like the lovely old buildings such as the clock tower, town hall, and bandstand. There seems to be a lot going on in your town, and all the floral displays add their charm to what is an already attractive town.
ReplyDeleteHi Gordon,
ReplyDeleteYou have been doing this very much. Beautiful flower boxes with floral flowers alternated with the pictures and the beautiful items in the place itself.
A beautiful cheerful and colorful post :-)
Best regards, Helma
Beautiful skies and terrific scenes. I also enjoyed the terrific view of the osprey on your blog header. I see quite a few of these in my area of the world in Southern New Jersey, USA.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the town is putting on a spectacular show!! Nice photos.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week-end!
A very pretty town indeed Gordon -- I hope I remember to look up the results of the Britain in Bloom competition.
